Eligibility:

Milestones may be awarded to shops that have reached 10,000, 100,000 or 1,000,000 lifetime orders, respectively, in addition to other requirements determined by Shopify from time to time, including a merchant's good standing and compliance with Shopify’s Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) and Intellectual Property Policy (“IP Policy”).

As of June 1, 2023, eligible shops may be entitled to 1 merchant milestone award per tier achieved. 1M or 100K eligible shops may be entitled to 1 merchant milestone award if they have reached their first 100,000 (0 to 100,000) or 1,000,000 (0 to 1,000,000) orders after January 1st, 2020. 10K eligible shops may be entitled to 1 merchant milestone award if they have reached their first 10,000 (0 to 10,000) orders after January 1st, 2024.

Eligible shops are able to claim active Milestone awards up until the point at which they qualify for the subsequent Milestone.

Eligible shops must have an active paid plan and must not be in a trial period, be password-protected, or have any previous fraudulent activity.

Milestones are determined by counting cumulative orders at the shop level, not an aggregate of multiple shops belonging to the same account owner.

Only orders completed on Shopify count toward a shop’s lifetime order total. Imported, canceled, returned, off-platform, and free or fully discounted orders do not count toward a milestone tier. Examples of off-platform orders include those processed by third-party subscription services and/or checkout apps.

Shops will not be eligible if they have an actioned AUP report; these shops must address the active issue with their Merchant Success Manager or by contacting customer support.

Shops must not sell or be associated with any restricted products or services, including but not limited to any of the following: child exploitation, adult content, alcohol, tobacco, cannabis, nicotine, vape and controlled substance distribution, supplements, skin lightening products, medical devices or prescription medications, hateful content, firearms and accessories, weapons, financial services, political merchandise, chemicals, gambling, lotteries or donations.

At the account level, the following criteria must be met for the user to claim the award:
- If it is a standard shop, the user must be the store owner.
- If it is a Plus shop the user must either be the store owner or have ‘edit’ admin permissions.

Shopify reserves the right to issue and retract milestone awards based on the eligibility criteria above, and may change criteria at any time.

The achievement or award of a Shopify milestone does not guarantee the achievement or award of any future milestone; nor is it an endorsement of a shop’s business practices.
Reproduction and Acceptable Use:

Milestone awards are property of Shopify and may be issued and revoked at any time in Shopify's discretion.

Milestone awards are trademarked and not to be reproduced, copied, licensed, misrepresented or redistributed without Shopify’s prior written consent. Doing so may result in forfeiture of the award and/or disqualification from receiving future awards.

Milestone awards are for personal use only and may not be photographed or shared on social media or online forums in an inappropriate, defamatory, derogatory or offensive manner as determined by Shopify in its discretion.
Award Customization and Availability:

Shopify reserves the right to determine the design, materials, and availability of milestone awards. The appearance and specifications of the milestone awards may vary based on Shopify's discretion and availability of resources.

The shop owners and other personnel acknowledge that any dissatisfaction or disagreement with the design or customization of the milestone awards does not entitle them to any form of compensation, replacement, or alteration of the awarded milestone.
Publicity and Promotion:

Shopify may require as a condition of award that shops who have achieved milestones provide consent (including signing Shopify’s form of release) for their shop name, milestone achievement, and/or other materials to be used in Shopify's promotional and marketing materials, including but not limited to website listings, blog posts, social media, and press releases.
Shipping and Fulfillment:

Orders for milestone awards may take 6-8 weeks or longer to be processed and shipped.

Milestone awards do not ship to the following countries:
- Afghanistan, Andorra, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic, Comoros, Crimea Region of Ukraine, Cuba, Iran, Equatorial Guinea, Falkland Islands, Guinea-Bissau, Johnston Island, Kazakhstan, Kiribati, Myanmar, Nauru, Niue, North Korea, Russia, Saint Helena, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Sao Tome and Principe Democratic Republic, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Somalia, South Sudan, Syria, Tajikistan, Tokelau, Turkmenistan, Tuvalu, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Wake Island, Yemen.

Any additional duties or taxes required to receive an award are the responsibility of the award recipient.

Shopify is not responsible if an award is misplaced or damaged following 10 days after the delivery of an award, or if an award is lost in transit by the courier.

Communication and Notification: Shopify will notify eligible shops upon reaching a milestone tier and provide instructions on how to claim the milestone award. It is the responsibility of the shop owner or authorized personnel to ensure that the contact information provided to Shopify is accurate and up to date.
